Gundala is situated three kilometers away from Gondal. According to the desire of FCC in Thamarassery province and with the help of CMI fathers and the Bishop, a plot of land was bought in this village on 18th sept.1993. It was for the formation of our candidates that a new house was constructed there with financial help from Missio, Germany. The house was blessed and inaugurated on 23rd July 1996. The first community with three sisters and three aspirants stayed in the house from 5th August 1996. The sisters work as teachers in St. Mary's school, Gondal and visit the village, give non - formal education, free tuition and awareness classes for women.

The sisters of this community are also engaged in rural outreach programmes, visiting the sick and needy, giving tuition classes for children, tailoring classes, medical camps, hygiene and legal aid classes women's empowerment programmes, participating and conducting religious and cultural programmes etc.

For the members of our mission in this Region, we organize renewal programmes, ongoing formation courses, mini synaxis, vocation camps and other mission - oriented programmes here. This house accommodates our candidates in the initial stages of formation (Come and See; Pre - postulancy Phase I)
